With guns in our hands and God on our side.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

Is anyone denying that there are unpleasant groups on the Ukrainian nationalist side?

Funny how the Pro Putin fanboys scream about Ukranian Nationalist Extremists ...who are comparatively weak...but ignore the much more powerful Extreme Russian Nationlists.

Religious propaganda in times of war has a long standing tradition going back to the earliest written records. Why do we need to get excited over this?

Well, a christian orthodox state waging a holy war against another christian orthodox state that actually agrees with them on all religious questions is odd.
It's beyond the hypocrisy seen anywhere that I know of, even ISIS isn't that hypocritical.

It certainly is worth mentioning, and monitoring.

A Ukrainian soldier in a hospital in government-controlled Konstantinovka (56km north of Donetsk) told the SMM that he was being treated for injuries sustained at the Donetsk airport on 19 January. He said 80 Ukrainian soldiers in total had suffered the same injuries, manifested in uncontrollable muscle spasms, vomiting and difficult breathing. Some, he said, had become unconscious. Eleven of the soldiers had been transferred to a hospital in Dnepropetrovsk, he said.

There aren't that many weapons that cause these symptoms, and not many states have them. Ukraine for example doesn't, whereas Russia does.

After and during their failed attempt to retake the airport, the regime forces and/or the Nazi killer gangs have heavily shelled Donetsk and Gorlovka and other cities resulting in dozens of civilian deaths each day of this week. Now Novorossiya is officially on the offensive to end this, DNR head Zacharchenko has just announced. Expect the next "Russian invasion" on your TV news this weekend...

I think a certain unimportant somebody mentioned Nazi killing gangs? That's old news. We all know Nazis are alive and well and hard at work at another attempt to conquer the world.

"My colleagues at work have turned into zombies right before my eyes. They will not listen to anything, they only repeat the Russian state media's official line — that we need to save the Russians in Crimea from fascism."

Kiev's Saint Sophia Cathedral, a UNESCO heritage site, is claimed by all Orthodox churches in Ukraine (Ukrainean, Russian, Greek), but administered by the state, which is careful not to create precedent by letting any of them take privileged access.
In 1995, when the Ukrainian Orthodox patriarch Volodymyr died, nationalistic Ukrainians wanted to bury him on the Cathedral's premises, Russian orthodox clergy and layfolk rushed in to prevent this, riot police had to be called. Bloody fighting ensued (it's claimed that two people died). The zealots finally tore up the pavement in front of the main gate and bell tower and buried the patriarch right there. Later, a monument was erected over the grave, and I believe it is still there (I saw it in 2010).

Splitters!

It is an uncorroborated second hand report at the moment.

Unlike the strong evidence of Russian tanks in Ukraine

What next? Save the Crimea from British Invasion?:D

Interview with "Strelkov" on Russian TV, English subtitles.

One thing seems to be certain at this point: His view of Porky as just a figurehead with no control whatsoever on movements on the ground is correct.

http://english.pravda.ru/news/russia/26-01-2015/129617-putin_ukraine_nato_legion-0/

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian army was a NATO legion, the goal of which was not to pursue national interests of Ukraine, but to contain Russia geopolitically.

"In fact, this is not an army, but a foreign legion, in this case, a NATO foreign legion, which, of course, does not pursue to protect Ukraine's national interests. They have different goals, and they are connected with objectives of geopolitical containment of Russia, which does not coincide with the national interests of the Ukrainian people," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

And we should believe Putin because, he's used up his quota of lies so is probably telling the truth?

And of course in the UK at the moment, the public enquiry into the death of Alexander Litvinenko is going ahead - after the home secretary lost lost her appeal to stop it because it might harm relations with Russia

Worth reflecting on Putin's actions

Vladimir Putin is a “common criminal dressed up as a head of state” who presides over a mafia regime and who personally authorised the sensational murder eight years ago of the former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, a public inquiry heard on Tuesday.

On the first day of the inquiry at the high court in London, Ben Emmerson QC, acting for Litvinenko’s widow, Marina, said the Russian had been the victim of a “horrifying” political assassination. He said Moscow had decided to silence Litvinenko after he threatened to expose links between Putin and Europe’s largest organised crime group.

Litvinenko's father thinks his son was murdered by Berezovsky and Goldfarb to take revenge at Putin for destroying the Yelzin family, and that's likely the truth. Which has nothing to do with Ukraine. Try to control your Putin-bashing reflexes or take it somewhere else.

It does show something about how Putin has treated foreign relations and how trustworthy he is.

Which is why quoting RT is rather pointless.

Here is an American Lieutentant General who also has been seen engaged in giving medals to crippled Ukrainian soldiers, at a press briefing at Soros- and NED-financed "uacrisis" propaganda central in Hotel Ukraine at Maidan in Kiev. Fun that some of the questions during Q&A come from the US state-sponsored propaganda bullhorn Radio Liberty, not even the least critical... ;)

Putin really does seem to be pushing it farther and farther:

This is dangerous;all it takes is one hot shot Russian pilot who is not as good as he thinks he is and you have a midair collision with a British plane. Not good news .

Maybe this some kind of payback for the Livtenako Inquiry in the UK.

Wow,Theresa May's action reminds me of the way British officals tried to supress anything critical of Nazi Germany during the Appeasement era...

This was in 2013, so more likely to be based on money than anything else. Still a bad idea
