I don't really mean financially, although that wouldn't shock me. Just... something. Something is going to happen internally (think Tienanmen Square) and it's going to be ugly. And we'll all get a chuckle out of Putins failure.

I was reading a Seamus Milne article the other day and I had to stop myself from laughing when he stated Russia is opposing US/Western aggressive expansion, I do not recall seeing any Western army Units in Russian occupied Ukraine (Crimea).

That is quite probable, yes. 17% interest rate, a dive in government spending and a leaping inflation all point to less disposable income for an average Russian. Vodka price cuts just won't fix that.

I suspect that, if Mexico forcibly annexed Texas and conducted guerilla war in New Mexico and Arizona, then US "ultra-nationalists" would be taking to the streets with torches as well. That's a predictable outcome.

The woman to Yats' right is the new finance minister, one of three that Porky gave the Ukrainian citizenship to in a quite hilarously bizarre move so it would be "constitutional" for them to join government.
