I have observed that, at least according to manga , porn or naked girls seems to promote nosebleed in Japanese males. Of course, manga does not tend to appear in peer reviewed science journals. So.............

Perhaps this is a contender for next year's Psychology Ig Nobel prize: "Internet users who type the same word over and over again are prone to inadvertently inserting it into places where it does not belong."



On a slightly more serious note, I thought the a few of those actually sounded quite respectable for prize-winners. The Physics, Art, Medicine and Nutrition ones seemed most in keeping with the Ig Nobel tradition.
