Haven't officials said that's not the same store? That the store where the cigars were stolen is called the Ferguson Market.

the picture posted (by someone else i might add) is not the same store. but I did find this where it seems the media did give people that impression. In my defense, I could have sworn i read that the rioters burned down the QT AND the store that was robbed but i cannot find it now.

I am pretty sure the residents of Missouri all know what store it was though, and i would be surprised if it hasn't been targeted by the looters at least.

No, the market was looted and burned down at the next evenings hate fest.

You have a reference for that? The news reports I saw said there was looting and the front windows were broken but there was no fire.

ETA - I see a photo has been put up. That's one of the ones I saw.

Okay, yeah, thanks for the name of the store. It looks pretty bad from these pictures:

Yeah I've kept getting conflicting information about the store Brown allegedly robbed, whether it was the Quik Trip or a more independent business...and thanks for the link! I'd feel really sad if I were the business owner, after being robbed and manhandled, then your store windows broken and products stolen. I really hope the violence stops soon :(

Here's the quote from the Slate link that i posted above:

Correction, Aug. 15, 10:55 a.m.: This post originally stated that the convenience store that was allegedly robbed by Michael Brown was the QuikTrip that was later burned. It also stated that Brown allegedly stole several boxes of cigars. The alleged robbery did not take place at the QuikTrip, and only one box of cigars appears to have been taken from the store.

I do, it's a false memory. 50 mph and no bruise, no, not realistic.

No false memory. I saw doctors and lawyers and this was well noted.

There was no bruise on my lower leg, which put a substantial dent in the steel bumper (this was in the days when there were still steel bumpers); no bruise on my head which smashed and nearly went through the windshield, only a minor cut; no bruises on the side of my body that bounced off the car and landed on the ground (grass, fortunately). Based on the severe gut pain over the next four days, I had some internal bleeding. My hamstrings had no strength for weeks so that I could not even lift a knee. I suppose they were excessively stretched or something. Two weeks later my foot did turn black (the foot itself was uninjured), so I suppose there was considerable deep bruising. I couldn't walk for a few weeks due to leg pain, and couldn't run without pain for about a year. Yet the only marks on me until my foot turned black were a slightly swollen lower leg and very small cut on my head.

Why do the cops have to shoot somebody waving a knife instead of hitting him with beanbag rounds or taser or a stun grenade?
