And, not Marty Palin, sadly.

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/07/20/sarah-palin-claims-god-president-obama-impeached.html

Now SHE is telling congress to respect an establishment of religion.

Her reasoning is the usual paranoid ramblings, about how he's a "ruler", never mind he's been less autocratic than the last 10 presidents with the exception of Jimmy Carter (and maybe Gerlad Ford).

Delusions, religion, and the GOP. A brew made in ****.

Well she doesn't count as a real Republican. She's just their VP candidate. Totally fringe, and does not reflect on the party as a whole.

She's looking good but I think her argument needs some work.

Another thread. Right on time.

Yep, Palin's entertaining ability to turn manure into **** with a word or two does generate publicity/attention. And if you (incorrectly but usefully) think all publicity is good, she's your go-to twit!!!!!!

Isn't there a commandment about not taking the lords name in vain? Like, don't speak for god.

Is this comment about JJ or Sarah Palin? Can you clarify? Who is on time -- JJ or Palin?

Anything that opposes the GOP is "spamming", or that's what I suspect he's trying to argue.

Of course, the rich, foetid idiocy, racism, fascism, and jingoism of the current, modern GOP is really the problem, in that they create endless examples of political misconduct, ethical misconduct, and moral depravity.

Apparently that's not entirely out the question...

While Palin said she believes in GOP principles, she said that if the Republican Party continues to stray toward the ‘liberal failed agenda,” she won’t hesitate to unenlist herself from the party.

The party seems to be too leftist even for her, ironically. If she wants to go elsewhere I won't complain.

Having said that... I followed the link... the skeptic in me thinks that "god wants Obama impeached" is political spin that the article didn't need to commit to. She does enough without it... Palin's arguing essentially that the constitution is a religious document based on freedoms granted by God and "we" need to "take action" due to Obama's "lawlessness"... I'm not religious for one, so the degree of god appeal kinda creeps me out, and it seems to me like she's gone more off her rocker since the 2008 elections, but I don't see where she's saying "god wants him impeached", just a lot of God worshiping in the mix.

Anyway... The complete excerpt that the article and video provide for anyone that doesn't feel like checking the link:
“This president’s forgotten man is we the people, and we the people know that our best days are still ahead because we know that God shed his grace. He’s given us our freedom to do what’s right. God doesn’t drive parked cars. I think he expects us to get up and take action in order to defend these freedoms that are God given. I think it’s an affront to God to let this go on because he gave us these freedoms. We’re not going to let someone, a person, a party take them from us. We’re not going to dethrone God and substitute him with someone who wants to play God.”

I don't understand how the writers interpreted it the way they did, but if they want to take a legit criticism and turn it into stupid I guess that's their call. But it's bad practice to then include the context side by side with the bad interpretation.

Quote [Palin]:

Well, so much for that "omnipotence" thing.

I mean really, what the **** does that even mean? :boggled:
Interpreting Palin's idiotic platitude-salads is always an iffy proposition, but I think it's her version of "god helps those who helps themselves." Apparently, the idea is that Christians who sit on their butts (in parked cars) will never make it to the Promised land- they gotta drive themselves. It's actually not a bad turn of phrase; but, like most platitudes, it's empty bumper-sticker thinking- so much is assumed, and so much is left out, that pith is its only virtue.

ETA- think of it as an opportunity for a cartoon.

This link might vanish because Stripgenerator is being weird today, but:

Well then why doesn't she get Congress to impeach him? With God on their side it will surely work out for them.

The freedom not to have health insurance. Of course, the freedom not to have car insurance preceded this. And there is the freedom not to pay for wars that we don't support, which has been suppressed for a long time. And, my pet peeve, the freedom not to pay for other people's children's schooling.

On the other hand, the freedom to shoot people who look at you wrong is on the rise.

God wants Obama Impeached - Palin speaks.

Does she bark once for yes and twice for No or the reverse?
