They then went to a local newspaper and asked that a reporter cover the story of them going to the United Way.

Thinks Apollo was a hoax.
Thinks 9/11 was a government (U.S. and Israeli) conspiracy.
Thinks Newtown was a "psy-op" fake (after first suggesting Mossad involvement)
Thinks the Boston Marathon bombing was ditto.

But the idea that JFK's assassination was also a fake is just too nutty for him? That sounds more like professional jealousy- "damn! I wish I'd thought of that first!" (Notice how much of his answer is just a sales pitch for his books and articles)

How does someone like Fetzer make a useful distinction between what's too far out for other folks to believe and what's too nuts even for him? I doubt actual common sense has anything to do with it.

Imagine a scenario where a great state-sponsored crime HAD been committed and covered up, just as all the twoofers continue to assert. Limiting the rights of free speech to quash such complaints/questions limits the future freedoms of every citizen to question the government. Keep in mind we explicitly describe our gov't as Of, By and For the people -- the gov't is not a monolithic Other which we are unable to affect or hold accountable.

These guys are vile and ignorant scum urinating on the graves of innocent children murdered by a mentally ill man who was not given the help he needed. There are many legal structures already to protect the families from these vile creatures without limiting the rights of other citizens --they could be slapped with restraining orders that keep them out of the city of Sandy Hook entirely, for instance.
