News on the grapevine is that Yurko is a "free man". Free to walk amongst others. The child he killed, the one he plead no-contest to killing, will never walk amongst others.

I wonder what he is up to now? This hero of the anti-vaccinators?

Will he be the heralded talking head of the anti-vaccination community?

Strangely. All is silent.

I wait.

See, it has been very quiet since he went back to jail for violating his parole on another violent crime.

When he came out for killing the baby there were headlines. No headlines now. Why?

The Yurko case causes a bizarre connundrum for anti-vaxers, IMO. Even many of the ones who believe he's guilty still subscribe to the idea that vaccines can injure a child in a way that looks like just SBS. I mean, it's one thing to believe that vaccines may cause neurological damage, it's another to believe they can cause a child to look like he or she was just in a head-on collision.

I think Yurko's no longer useful to the hardcore anti-vaccinators, so they'll discard him in favor of another parent "falsely accused" of shaking his or her child. As I said one time, if they were looking for a cause celebre, a convicted felon is probably not the most promising place to start.

:)
So Yurko has had too much bad press, awwwww. He's still just as "legitimate" as all the others that try to claim vaccines can actually cause symptoms of SBS (including broken ribs and finger shaped bruising).

Scheibner was one of those that tried to claim the same. She has been debunked as well.

Thing is, google searches still bring them both up.

Will this finally stop the claims of vaccines causing shaken baby syndrome? I've only heard of one other parent making the same claim, and he's hardly had any press time lately either.
