Your Dog Is In Heaven Now....

I especially love this one:

When you go to Heaven and are an angel yourself, you'll be able to visit him and play with him all you like, unless he's gone crazy from malnutrition and tries to eat your face off when he sees you. Well, that is, if he still has eyes. He may have already clawed them out in hunger.

:D

OK---most of the RR folks seem pretty sure that when they go to heaven---the pets come with them.

At least "cute" species like dogs & cats anyway.

What happens to non-cute or even "satanic" species like tarantulas or boa-constrictors is still open to debate over there.

What I was wondering though----what happens to a human fetus?

Let's say a saved woman's 6 months pregnant when the rapture occurs.

Does the pregnancy continue to term in heaven? Who cleans up the mess if it does.

Does the baby--grow up to be an adult in heaven???

Will baby's born in heaven need food---who's gonna change the crappy diapers?

Not that I'm going anyway--but I'm not sure dirty diapers were part of my idea of heaven.................

This leads to additional problems with the idea of heaven. If people can grow and mature in heaven, doesn't that strongly imply that those in heaven can reproduce?

Furthermore, at what age does one stop growing in heaven? Is it right before puberty? This has a couple of advantages: without puberty, there would be no reproduction and none of the citizenry of heaven that grew up there would think "dirty" thoughts. Furthermore, most adults remember childhood fondly as a time without responsibilities like bills and jobs. Or could the age at which one stops growing be at around 18 or 19? At this age, we're at our physical peak (all other things being equal).

But then again, aging in heaven presents another problem: what of those beyond the age at which growth stops in heaven? Are they stuck with the bodies which they had in life? This would make heaven more like hell for those who died at such advanced ages that they can hardly walk. And what of those who died from broken bones--can those get healed? Or what of those who died while suffering from incurable diseases like Alzheimer's or diabetes?

Well, maybe those who are older or suffering from disease are returned to the height of health instantaneously upon entering heaven. But what of mental disorders? If our souls enter heaven and contain all that we are (personality, memories, etc.), then why would they not also contain those mental disorders from which we suffer?

OK, so perhaps mental disorders get left behind somehow. But how is the mental disorder separated from the person who has it? For that matter, what if someone is just an exceptional jerk? Does the 'jerk' part of that person get excised as well? Likewise, what about horrible memories which cause us suffering--do we forget those? If so, then how much of a person really gets to heaven? Is it just the "good" parts of one's personality? If so, can that really constitute the person? Does anyone really get to heaven, or does everyone truly die, only to have vaguely related souls float up toward heaven?

Hmm...perhaps Elliot or Riddick could present some answers? For that matter, could anyone here present a self-consistent view of heaven?
