I have since retracted this comment. See below for explanation. If I could, I'd rename the thread to "You'll Never Guess What A Dumbass I Am."

Remember the "Final Cut Announcement"? The one where the LC crew compared themselves to Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Simon Wiesenthal, and Winston Churchill? The one that promised the release of LCFC the weekend before 9/11/07, and that eleven countries were negotiating for film rights? The one that's currently winning the Stundie Award?

Well, if you go to the May Archive of the LC blog, the entry "A Statement From Louder Than Words And MercuryMedia" isn't there.

The blog entry still exists at its original link, is auto-linked from the May Archive page, and can be found with a search. But someone visiting the page for the would not know it exists.

This may just be a blog bug (a blug?) but it is awfully consistent with Dylan Avery's long history of promising release dates, failing to meet them, and trying to back away from embarassing things he's done in the past.

Could this be a subtle attempt by Dylan Avery to downplay his previous announcement, by deleting references to it and hoping nobody new finds it?

Good story though. If I had the brains of a Looser I'd have just believed you and gone away happy...

ive saved the page as a PDF in case it disappears completely (so it can retain its Stundie® eligibility)

Crap. I was looking at the May 2006 archive. How embarassing. I retract my previous comment.
