About Netroots Nation:
Past conferences have featured a Presidential Leadership Forum that drew seven Democratic candidates including then-Senator Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton; a surprise visit from Al Gore; interactive Q&A sessions with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid; an appearance by President Bill Clinton; and a chance to hear from three Nobel laureates. As The New York Times said, Netroots Nation is “becoming as much a part of the Democratic political circuit as the Iowa State Fair.”

Think of it as a giant family reunion for the left.

I think they're afraid of something much darker. These are people without an alternative explanation. They are not just simply going to wrap up their billion years of activism and go home. And for Gage and many of his minions, God told them to do this.

I suspect many of them are afraid of falling into a deeper conspiracy trap. What's Gage going to do when he is finally confronted all the time with a well constructed argument that includes the lack of support for him from every single other construction/design professional group?

A growing amount of support for AE911T is coming from the general right-wing conspiracy world. Many of those involved in their Action Group teams are hooked up with Tea Party groups and Ron Paul stuff. Gage and his Gentle God-types would know this. I can image one of their super-secret informal 9/11 Truth topics includes why no one is listening to them and does it point a larger conspiracy. The right-wingers already know the answer to this lies with the NWO and its friends in the UN. The left-wing Gentle God-types had always imagined the Truth would speak for itself.

Who knows what they're going to say then?

Both sides are immune to facts. They're blinded by their socio-political biases and are incredulous that reality doesn't agree with them.

However, you have to give them credit for at least trying: AE911T is a political lobby group with a claim to being based on professional expertise. Going to actual political action groups and political conferences is a notch up from Gage's usual touring for money and aclaim from the clueless and cloutless choir of angry and already converted men.

Indeed. Did you see on the appeal website how they'd quoted from the Daily Kos website how it expressly does not allow discussion of 9/11 CTs?

As a professional firefighter & previous adamant defender of the official story, I completely understand the fear and anger directed at the “9-11 Truth movement.”. After personally witnessing the destruction at ground zero, it took years for me to even begin to look at 9-11 again. I had to look for myself to see what the “formal” investigation revealed. Sadly, I learned the most basic national standards were violated.
 
The twoofers are stuck with the memories of WeAreChange nut jobs passing out Ron Paul fliers outside Obama events. That mud gets spattered on little Dickie, too.

Then there are the white nationalists who lie just under the surface.

Smart move on the part of Netroots to tell them to go away.
 
LOL on the “Let The Architects In” page it says "As of Tuesday evening, there are 51 comments in favor of letting the architect exhibit in the Netroots Nation exhibition hall and zero against." Of course it's a truther site so I'd expect the comments to go overwhelmingly their way but 51 - 0 and 59 - 0 by the time i showed up is a little too one sided. So I decided to comment to see what would happen. I tried to post the following:


"Netroots is not under any legal or ethical obligation to allow any group that wants to appear at its events. AE911T represents far less than 0.1% of US architects and engineers and an even smaller portion of such professionals worldwide. They are a fringe group with fringe ideas not supported by the scientific community. The truth movement's only paper published in a LEGITIMATE peer reviewed journal appeared in an obscure environmental science journal and did not directly support the CD theory."

It actually posted on my screen but with the following disclaimer:

"Your comment is awaiting moderation."

Anyone wanna take odds that it never gets approved?
 
You gave them way too much credit in that last sentence Len :)

It wouldnt call Bentham legitimate, though compared with their own pretend journal I guess it is.
