Well, I might as well kick this off...

Alongside the video, Randi hints that he might've figured out what's happening: "There are a number of clues in what I've already seen ... see if you come to the tentative conclusion that I have".

I've watched the (rather poor) video a few times: man runs up, takes a big swing with a long bamboo pole, then slumps dazed to the ground. But I can't see any obvious clues. Duh! Any ideas? :confused:
 
Hmm.....

bad acting? like taking a swing at a guy 3 feet to the left of where he is swinging.

in the very bad lighting maybe the guy on his left triped him, or hit him in the gut?

honestly there are UFO videos more believable than this

Yeah, I did wonder why the guy's swing was so far off target.
In his commentary Randi questions why his representative is taking a wild swing with a big stick rather than just trying to tap the target on the leg with a small one as agreed. Perhaps Joko Tri is really a Yellow Bamboo double-agent...

I agree. This video is worthless. I've tried a frame-by-frame, but I can't really see what's going on.

Worthless. That Yellow(bellied) Bamboo(zlers) claim the prize already is evidence that they are frauds.
 
So was the impartial guy sent by randi the guy taking a swing with the bamboo? Why was he wearing the yellow bamboo t-shirt and belt thing?

Anyway, make the video full screen, go frame by frame. Near the peak of his right hand's motion, he is hit quite clearly with a blow dart in the ass.

I'm still curious what clues Randi thinks he's spotted. And why does he stress that Joko should've been using "a small bamboo stick", as if this is a major clue?

Running and screaming with a large bamboo stick is is less likely to notice the blowdart in the ass.

I thought you were kidding - but now I've spotted it too. On my version of WMP the frame it's in occurs exactly at the point where the time increments from 00:00 to 00:01.
I guess it could be some kind of lens reflection or something, but it really does look like an object shoots in and hits him in the bum. Bizarre!
 
To me, it looks like they simply wore the guy out with some training. When he finally fell from exhaustion, they claim it as being their superpower. I didn't see the blowdart, as the video is very blurry and dark. Why is it that superpowered "documentation" videos always seem to be unclear and hard to view?

I've always figured my death would be in the presence of people standing around and laughing, saying, "I love it when he does that choking gag."

Taking a closer look, going backwards and fowards, it definitely does look like a person is manipulating the staff wielder from behind with their foot. Why do believers go through so much trouble to fabricate evidence for what they "know" has to be true?

Is it that they think it's ok to cheat because on other days they can actually perform such said feats?
 
While I was joking about it being a blow dart, what I was talking about is closer to frame 8 than 25. His hands are both high in the air, and he is holding the pole way above his head.
