Good point. Let's pick CNN. Whatever they post as the time of death will be our official time.

BTW, I forgot to mention in the rules that this contest is NOT open to psychics. For obvious reasons.

Less than 24 hours and the announcement will be made. They're saying (FOX/CNN) that's it's only a matter of hours.

BTW, sunset on the 10th in Jerusalem is 4:43pm (i think)

According to Danish TV, Reuter has announced that Arafat has died. This comes from a member of the Palestinian government.

The hospital denies, though.

Luckily (for me), for the purposes of this thread, the only source that counts is CNN. What's your prediction?

Don't be shy. I know you've got a crystal ball hidden somewhere. Maybe even a set of them! Perhaps you can talk your significant other into letting you play with them. :)

From the sound of things, Arafat is already dead and being kept alive by machinery. How does that affect the betting?

Press conference at 16:00 GMT. Be interesting to see what they have to say. I suspect it might well be a death notice.
