In Islamic heaven you get whatever your heart desires. Virgins, raisins, camels, whatever.

Islam Q&A:

... It was narrated from Sulaymaan ibn Buraydah from his father that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “O Messenger of Allaah, are there horses in Paradise?” He said, “If Allaah admits you to Paradise, any time you wish to be carried on a horse of red rubies that will fly with you wherever you want in Paradise, you will do that.” Another man asked him, “O Messenger of Allaah, will there be camels in Paradise?” and he did not say to him something like he said to his companion. He said, “If Allaah admits you to Paradise, you will have there whatever your heart desires.” ...

I love the first part, almost like it's a mandatory (maybe it is!) prefix for any response:

"Answer: Praise be to Allaah" ....

I'll have to remember this the next time I have an essay question on an exam.

Here's the Straight Dope on the virgins thing:

There's also the joke going around:
It's actually Hell where you get 72 virgins. In Heaven you get 72 seasoned professionals who how not to use their teeth

Thank you.

But even fundy-wise in heaven it's "whatever your heart desires" regardless.

Camels, virgins, airplanes (or flying like Superman), skyscrapers, peanut butter, beef stroganoff, etc.

Much better than the Chistian heaven with its harps and the company of chicken-men. Not that the Bible say that.

OK. Horse of red rubies. Does it say anything about saddle sores?

What about a tortured self-denying homosexual who suicide bombs somewhere? Presumably Yaweh, er, Allah will give him what he wants, too? Or is that a "temptation by Satan" that won't be allowed in Heaven, er Paradise?
