Hundreds of thousands of people have converged for a huge Gay Pride parade in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

Crowds carrying rainbow flags danced through one of the main avenues, as floats blasted music from loudspeakers.

Hi

I recently edited and issued you a mild warning regarding a breach of Rule 4: i.e.

jay gw, I've taken the time to edit your post in a way that makes it clear which parts are your own and which parts are the work of others. Although we do not dictate what style or format you use it is important that your own work is distinct from a quoted piece, otherwise you may be in breach of Rule 4.

A few of your posts/threads since the warning have blurred the line between what is from an article and what is in your own words. It is important that you clearly mark quoted text, especially when quoting a significant amount of text. If you don’t start to do this and more of your posts are brought to the Mod Team’s attention and we repeatedly have to keep editing them to be in line with your Membership Agreement then we may be forced to take further action, which could mean a suspension.

I hope you will cooperate.

Regards

This is your last warning. Further breaches such as this post will result in a suspension for a minimum of three days.

The confirmed estimate (?) is now 1,8 million people, and it's being seriously considered as an entry to the Guiness Book.

It looked so much fun! There were hetero couples, old ladies, children, lots of children.

Something tells me that the idea of taking children to a gay parade would horrify some people. ;) As if children didn't meet gays everyday.

Lots of celebrities, including hetero, all around.

São Paulo is dead on weekends. No surprise then that the crowd went there for some partying. :) I've attended gay parades in Rio, but they're much smaller. Who can beat watching Carmem Miranda or Barbra Streisand impersonators? And 24 sound trucks playing dance music? TV cameras all around?

btw... Every two days a homosexual is killed just for being homosexual? Well, let's just say this guy's opinion might be biased. How can you really tell if the guy was murdered for being gay, or maybe for being involved with risky behavior, like drugs and prostitution? The very success of the parade goes against the guy's argument, so I'm skeptical of it. Of course there's homophobia, I just don't trust this number.

If São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, is dead on weekends, what does that say about a village like Rio? :D

Gay Pride parades/festivals are always a riot (even if you're not gay!).

A couple of years ago, Joe Clark, the former PM, was the marshall for the parade in Calgary. The 'godhatesfags.com' guy even came down to protest

Having baptists with bad hair show up is probably the number one sign of having a good gay community :p

Go, Sao Paulo!
