Sorry, I don't have a link to the story, but I heard it on public radio.

Military personnel have found a supply of sarin gas that has been in the hands of insurgents. The "stockpile" was apparently small enough to fit inside a briefcase, and the insurgents had thoughtfully labeled the vials in English.

One military official was quoted as saying that this discovery shows that the invasion of Iraq was justified.

In itself, it doesn't provide any sort of justification even if it's true, of course.

There is a track record of Iraqi militants trying to buy sarin gas filled warheads, and these could just as easily be from a similar source.

It's now the end of the business day, and I can't find a single story that confirms or expands upon what I heard on public radio this morning.

In the course of locating seven weapons caches in a single block around a mosque in northeast Fallujah, an Iraqi platoon Wednesday found a suitcase full of vials labeled "Sarin," a deadly nerve agent.

While further analysis determined that the find was probably part of a Soviet test kit with samples, its discovery in a room with mortar shells appeared to indicate an intent to weaponize the material.
