I'm using my mother's computer at the moment and I don't want to change too much stuff on it, but I also want to make it more usable. My biggest gripe at the moment is the way it handles Chrome. When I start up Chrome, it seems to load up a fullscreen application which contains every instance of Chrome - so if I open a new window, it will also be within this shell application. This application has a top bar which appears whenever I move the mouse to the top of the screen (making changing between tabs more of a pain in the arse) and a big menu bar that only actually contains 2 items if I move to the bottom of the screen.
Furthermore, it appears that the only difference between minimising and closing the application using the bar at the top is that when minimised the Chrome icon on the Taskbar indicates that you've got Chrome running, and when you use the "x" it does not. Either, however, mean that if you click on the icon again then the application will return to fullscreen with whatever Chrome windows and tabs you had open still open.
Is there a way to just make it act like a normal program?
