Whereas it seems that most (or, rather, some notable) Christians perceive atheists as militant fundies. *shurg*Do most atheists perceive most Christians as militant fundies? That's certainly not my experience.
eg most appear to believe that most Christians are militant fundies. This does not exactly display brilliant powers of deduction (or even a casual grasp of reality).
I have been sampling posts in this forum generally where they refer to Christians and none yet have born out what you say. In fact most that refer to fundamentalism specify they are talking about "fundies" rather than Christians in general.eg most appear to believe that most Christians are militant fundies. Do you have an example of what you are talking about?
Yep.Oh by the way, it's obvious this thread was intended as a parody of the "Why Doesn't Jesus Sound Smart" thread. However that topic was discussing a single individual. It did not paint an entire class of people as stupid. I don't know what you are upset about.
'Cause he sounds like a character from a David Mamet play?Yep.
The title should have been, "Why doesn't Penn Jilette sound smart", or something like that. (And I'd love to hear someone defend that point.)
