What's his game in trying to pull votes from the left?

Where does his funding come from?

I have no idea, personally, but is this another Sharpton play?

Probably for the same reason Perot supported Clinton back in the day.

I'm thinking more along the lines of a Ross Perot, and he is so egotistical that he thinks he can actually win.

He doesn't support Bush.

He doesn't support a two-party system. That's why he's running.

A lot more democrats will vote for Bush than will vote for Nadir. If Kerry succeeds where Gore failed (keep Democratic voters confident in their party's nominee and not vote for the other party's guy) Kerry will win.

It is strictly ego. He has no party. He has no funding. It is a streatch to even qualify for the ballot in most states. Even if he does, he will not get even 1% of the vote this time...

He may, however, force debate on issues that the democrats would rather avoid and deflect attention from the primary issues of the economy and proper use of US military power...

NaDER! NaDER! The man's name is NADER, not "Nadir!" For the love of Jebus, you may not agree with him, but don't go comparing him to zenith-nadir. :P

Oh, for Ed's sake I KNOW he spells his name "Nader". I spell it "Nadir" to make my opinion of how far he's sunk obvious.

And after the first two years, Corvairs were fun cars, too. Garage queens, but fun.

Nader is a closet democrat, please.....who else would actually follow the conspiracy theory logic like he does.

I used to work for a company that designed car systems before the cars went on the market. Nader would constantly berate us to the media no matter how hard we workd and fought for the improvement of these systems.......

what Im saying is that Nader is vacuous. He's only interested in headlines and rhetoric.......like any democrat does anyway....

if I was a democrat I sure as hell wouldnt vote for Kerry...I'd go Nader.

Kerry is a hoax.

Democrat? No, you don't make that case.

So he's a woowoo. Well, yeah, I agree. I also, a while ago, had the joy of investigating some of his "science". That was interesting.

like any democrat does anyway....

Your "big lie" goes on and on and on. Since the opposition to Bush is obviously the group that suports both individual and collective freedoms, and that's becoming evident, you're afraid that your totalitarian agenda is at risk, so you're starting on the "big lie" and smearing of "liberals" again, I see.

if I was a democrat I sure as hell wouldnt vote for Kerry...I'd go Nader.

I'm not surprised that you'd let your party affiliation thing for you. What's wrong, afraid to think for yourself and go outside the Republigun fascista?

Kerry is a hoax.
Oh, I think you listen to too much Ann Coulter. I happened to be watching when she dishonestly, and with a straight face, launched into her lies about "Kerry is nothing but a Gigilo".

Wasser, eine beire?
Too much beer, I think, explains
NT's loud ranting.

I just adore the logic of this.

Nader is Egomaniac (true premise)

Nader is a Democrat because he is an egomaniac.
Democrats are ecomaniacs because Nader is one.

Ahh...Ralph Nader. The candidate who successfully joins the far right and far left together...against him.

And, jj, I agree..."nadir"...good call, and sadly, very appropriate.

Henh, and don't forget the middle, Clancie, I can't stomach the twirp either.

It's all ego. Same as in 2000, just a wee bit more obvious. I mean, if real-world circumstances dictated how he made his choices, most of his platform would vanish.

Here's what I'm hoping will happen: Nadir will criticize both parties, but will save his most strenuous attacks for the Republicans; he'll criticize them in ways the Dems can't and won't.

Then he'll back out appropriately.

WOODRUFF: Howard Dean just put out a statement saying -- he said, if George Bush is re-elected, all of the health, the safety, the consumer, the environmental, the open government things that you've spent your life working for, will all be undermined. And he said that the judges that the president is appointing will still be in office 50 years from now.

NADER: Agreed.

WOODRUFF: In other words, that's going to be on your shoulders.

NADER: Agreed. I think that a second front against Bush is going to be very, very effective.

So if Kerry and Nader are going to split the anti-Bush vote, then why doesn't Kerry withdraw? It seems irresponsible not to.
