Theists will not defend their beliefs logically though they violate the most basic fundamentals of critical thinking. Why the free ride?
If a person believes something and wishes to force that view upon others (bring creationism / intelligent design in school, even though it has no evidence to back it up) then why are they not forced to explain away how they violate logic by asserting something meta-physical or super-natural as the origin of physical matter when they have no scientific evidence?
For instance, we know their books right down to the smallest letter was written which is of course a reaction to the belief in God. Which God, Where, How do we know it wasn't just the ramblings of a delusion man? You can't just black box it and sweep it under the carpet with "Have Fiath and all shall be revealed". Skepticism demands that every assertion has through and valid evidence. What was the evidence that caused these books to exist as actual God inspired scriptures rather than the grating ramblings of drunken prophets?
So Theists claim they know there is a God. They must prove that it is possible first. If you can't get out of the starting gate, then how can you force everyone to assume you won the race?
JRE is about proving things. You can't claim to be a psychic and gain credibility without proving it. Shouldn't the same go for an Theists? Why the free ride?
