I read through most of Spillane's Mike Hammer novels when I was a young lad in the army, 18 or so. Good lubricious stuff...
Even as a lad I was sort of annoyed with Hammer's propensity to diddle any female character (and almost one male), while "saving" Velda for more permanent arrangements.
