When Jesus does return will Christians even recognize him?

When Jesus finally does return most Christians will be expecting to an individual who fits the following description:

A blonde haired, blue eyed, white male, who goes by the name Jesus, who was born on December 25th, considers himself to be a Christian or the son of God, or God in the flesh, who is not circumcised, has no problem eating pork, someone who abstains from food and drink through fasting, does not pray by placing his forehead on the ground just as Muslims do, does not use the word "Elah" when referring to God, and someone whose mother did not dress in Hijab.

Many will no doubt have the expectation that they will lay eyes on literal son of God, or God in the flesh, or a man who is 100% and 100% God, despite the last one being a logically unsound concept (similar to a square circle, or insert any two things which hold both exclusive and contradictory properties) and not even something which can be explained by the Catholic Church or the Pope. The actual likelihood of this is quite low, considering the fact that there exist no verses in the Bible which show Jesus to have ever claimed any of these titles for himself.

How many "Sons" does God have?

Now ask yourself just how surprised/disappointed they will be when they find out the fictitious image which they have been feed for as long as they can remember was nothing more than just that, fiction. And the truth of this matter can be seen in any one of their own holy books the Bible, if only they had taken the time to open it up and actually read the contents therein.

Just like an episode of MTV’s Catfish, I believe many will be left surprised, shocked, confused, betrayed and even angered, just to name a few of the many emotions they may be dealing with come said time.

Ahem? Luke 2:21:
After eight days had passed, it was time to circumcise the child; and he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Ahem? Luke 2:21:

Good spot, was meant to state "is circumcised". Although if a individual claiming to be Jesus was to appear tomorrow, is this truly one of the criteria which we would use to authenticate the individual's claims, and if so which individual or organization would be responsible for verifying this? This mainly has to do with many present day Christians opting out of this practice. While the majority of Jews and Muslims continue to adhere to this. Link

And don't bother asking the question of "Why would God put that extra bit of skin there, if only for the purpose of it needing to be chopped off?", because I don't know.

*One thing to note, though this practice has in recent years come under heavy scrutiny and criticism, it seems that the Health benefits of circumcision do outweigh the risks.

The opening poster is saying that Jesus is circumcised , but that many 21st century Christians would expect him to not be circumcised. Just as they would (wrongly) expect him to say his birthday is at the end of December.

The question is not whether "Christians" would recognize Jesus, but would Jesus recognize Christians?

I'd check how holey he was.

Matthew
7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God's a trickster. Ask yourself just how surprised/disappointed you will be when he looks EXACTLY like that. Hey, why not? If he can walk on water, why can't he come back looking like Ward Cleaver. I mean, he's a Jewish rebel so he'll disobey his mother when she tells him he should dress like a girl.

Why would god give us bacon if not to eat it?
Why would god not give instructions about how to deal with Ramadan in pole circle countries?
Why would god need to give His True (tm) message to some random guy(s) in a far off desert area rather than just making it clear and undeniable to everyone everywhere everywhen?

It's almost as if all religions are badly interpreted fantasy novels.

Has it been declared that he would have an identical physical form as his first go-round? Is the second coming a rebirth, reincarnation? Arrive as an infant and grow up to become himself again? Or God become flesh, fully adult, Terminator style -- "give me your clothes"? With wounds? Speaking Aramaic?

According to Daniel he'll be "Coming on the clouds" with a host of Angels and standing on God's right hand. So I guess we'll know it's him.

No doubt he'll get arrested again...
