What book is everyone writing now?

I'm still working on the ones I have been working on for a while. The main is called Sword of the Dragon, the first book of a fantasy triology for adults with the usual great villian wants to take over the world, and a rag tag party has to stop it type plot, though for a difference humans don't take the lead roles, those going to Elves.

The second is more a teen book currently called Nat and the Wee Folk which is based about a modern world young boy and his friends stumbling into the discovery of a parrallel world to our own, one where fairies and magic are real.

I have also started, and several times abandoned, a mock non-fiction book called Bisque: The Soup That Changed The World"

Part of my fear is that the source material which it mocks - books like Salt, The Map That Changed The World, and A Short History Of Nearly Everything - have been read by maybe thirty people. And they're all here.

If you didn't want to take so much thyme, perhaps you could use Bisquick.

Bumping this, as NaNoWriMo is currently in full swing. Who's participating this year, and how's it going?

I'm currently writing a comedy-adventure with the title A Boat Called Ilsa, in which a woman and her Bogart-obsessed dragon companion attempt to get an inherited 30-foot boat home to Canada through the U.S. Midwest... While protecting a stowaway and a rather kitschy religious icon from a crazed nun.
