WeAreChange Gives Back To Underprivileged Kids

Honestly, if they gave presents to a bunch of kids in a hospital then good on them, I suppose. Unless, of course it was nothing more than a propaganda stunt and a chance to spread their inane irrationalism about (which it almost certainly was).

On another thread we were talking about how there's a correlation between AGW deniers and 9/11 conspiracy theorists. I know of at least one person who is an adamant believer in the inside job AND a denier of AGW (the latter of which I am something of an agnostic) and also he's a big vaccine skeptic. I notice that this We Are Change movement are also anti-vaccine, which suddenly seems far more sinister when they're allowed in to hospitals and bring presents to kids.

One things for sure, they're not the Marine Corps who gives to kids every Christmas, Toys for Tots.

That reminds me, the Marine Corps does need help getting presents for the kids this year.

what is WAC trying to say??

"we gave toys to kids...therefore 9-11 MUST be an inside job"?????????

****ing retards they are.

parky, you're always the pessimist. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming their message is "We may be bat **** insane, but at least we did something good for once."

pessimist? no. just realistic.

if they REALLY just did this out of the kindness of their hearts, and sought No political angle, they would not have advertised the event.

deep in my soul, I am convinced that WAC is an America-hating, anti-FDNY, anti-NYPD, bigoted organization. they want nothing less then a Beer-hall Pustch in the USA.

that part with the little kid sort of reminded me of jesus camp.

I wonder if Wu-Tang gave them permission to use their "W" in the WeAreChange logo.

I was joking in the previous post, just trying to put a lighter potential spin on this event. I have no doubt that they, like many of their brethren twoofer groups, have fascist tendencies. I've seen too many of the "When we're proven right and put into power we're going to execute anyone who ever doubted or criticized us" comments some of them are keen on making.

Try this...go to one of their youtube videos and contradict them. You'll be blocked faster than "free fall speed".

The Christmas thing sort of reminds me of when missionaries go into poor countries and convert people who have very little access to education. They can go in there and convince these vulnerable people what all their woes and illness is due to "the system" while handing out presents and will convince them that their beliefs are the answer.

When Jeremy from WACLA stalked Carl Weiman he quoted "If they can convince you of absurdities than they can get you to commit cruelties". There are very few things I can think of that are more cruel than indoctrinating children with nonsense.

I wonder if they were telling all the kids the "truth" about Christmas and the wonderful documentary Zeitgeist.

There are times when I muse over how funny it'd be if the Corps gave (*ahem*) "presents" to idiot groups like WeAreChumps. Thing is, a little thing called posse comitatus sort of rules that out...

Good point but due to my involvement in a group that does a toy drive/buy to help (but is not connected to) TfT every year, I'm going to say that this is their first time doing it and the awesome experience of collecting/buying dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of toys felt so good to them that they couldn't help but talk about it.* Hell, the first time I did it it was the best Christmas of my life and I babbled on a college radio show about it for 30min straight.

ETA:* And it gets better ever year.

Yeah, it seems like WAC is a bit underpriviledged themselves. Maybe they should stock up on canned foods too. LOL!

Well..bad ass for WAC...giving kids Christmas presents is cool.

Even total wack-jobs can make a difference in this season of giving.

I don't know that they actually did anything. These are the guys who also claim they do things for sick and injured first responders, but don't. The implication of the video is that organized and paid for everything. There's nothing there that shows they had much to do with the event. I can imagine the housing project was already having Xmas event and they just hijacked it. Most of WAC - Chicago are high school kids and the others claim to go to college. I don't imagine any of them have any money. I can also imagine a bunch of HS students hijacking an exosting event may not seem like that to them. I can understand if they think hanging around and getting a free dinner is actually organzing the thing.

I wonder if the "presents" are copies of 9/11 conspiracy DVDs.

You know, the ones they can't sell, and can't even give away anymore.

Ahhh, I must be feeling kinda Grinch-y...

Merry Christmas, everyone.
