This disgusts and embarrasses me.

Where is the outrage?

These "criminals" stand a good chance of being executed.

The U.S. is now in league with other oppressive regimes? CHINA, for god's sakes?!

Just where is it, in the Constitution, that we allow for the federal government to set up law enforcement in foreign countries?

Where you been? The U.S. has been involved in drug interdiction in other countries for decades.

Well, certainly in the countries from which drugs are exported or produced.

But there's something about this that just strikes me as being more insidious, and likely to grow exponentially over time. And, I say again, CHINA????

What happens there can affect here. For instance:

Most recent drug-related problems — including the spread of AIDS — have been linked to heroin from Southeast Asia’s “Golden Triangle,” of Burma, Laos and northern Thailand, which abut southern China, as well as from Central Asia’s opium-producing “Golden Crescent” region.

Plus, we import a lot of Chinese, legal and otherwise. :)

We provide military advisors to other countries, intelligence officers, etc., etc., so why not DEA?

Yeah, it's China. I notice MSNBC had an imbedded photo slide in the article to learn up on China's history with the photo of the guy standing in front of the tank in Tianamen Square right on top. :)
