Hmmmm, In my youth I probably would have got into this myself too......These are young soldiers, what do you expect? This is what soldiers in a warzone do.

I would like to see a reputable source for this. I didn't see anything in the article itself that guaranteed its accuracy. Time still hasn't proven to me to be a reliable source of information since the "Bush admin ignored the terror threat because connie rice saw a powerpoint presentation" fiasco.
This sort of handwringing and blame america first fits the Time template. Its fine to blame america first, when america has actually done wrong. It seems much of this article is pure speculation.
