On the Geller show in Israel, he did a trick where he moved a huge magnet. At first he managed to move it a little, but after a minute or so you could see him very clearly putting a fake thumb, so that he could move the magnet even better.

The video can be seen over here. It's the first clip on the list, he puts the fake tumb abour 4:00 minutes into it. I hope it's going to work for you.

Just amazing how he thought no one would notice it!

By the way, isn't the blonde girl very hot?

Sniff. Sniff. It's so sad to see him reduced to cheating. He has lost those amazing abilities he had when he was younger.

It's almost like he has been demagnitized. Evil sketpical Randiest debunkers have done this to him. Let him live on in his past glory as a bender of spoons and keys.

"UFO's are the secret source of my powers". Have they too deserted him?

:eye-poppi :) :D ;) :p    :boggled: :eye-poppi :jaw-dropp

I just watched it without a problem.
He's certainly fiddling with his hands around that time. Maybe it's a fake thumb with a magnet inside. I guess there's also ample opportunity for him to simply palm a small magnet as well.

It's a rather lame conjuring trick all in all.

Yeah, it was pretty lame. And it's without a doubt fake thumb, you can even see it for a few seconds after he puts it on. There were a lot others around here that noticed the same thing, as it was very obvious. I'm just amazed that he did that right infront of the camera! Does he really think that eveyone is stupid and won't notice it?

And sorry if the video doesn't work for some people. I'll let you know if I find a different source to view it.

The brunette was better looking

You don't even need a magnet to deflect the compass card in a binnical. Any piece of iron will do.

I'm surprised that anyone is even impressed by something so simple as moving a compas. A magician would be laughed off the stage with a trick like that. I guess when you suck as a legitimate magician, you have to resort to lying. Telling people that you're psychic lowers their expectations quite a bit, apparently.

I was thinking the same thing earlier whilst watching an amazing Chinese guy changing masks with such incredibly fast sleight of hand (on one of Penn and Teller's programmes). Even an average illusionist or mentalist blows the best "psychic" out of the water. Scum like Geller, Edward and Browne make up for their lack of talent by sitting at the top of a human pyramid of belief and credulity; their objective successes and failures matter little to the hardcore fans. PR and marketing are also far more important than performance.

Yes, but the problem is that there are still some people that still believe him, even though thankfuly all the media in Israel is trying to debunk him once in awhile. There was even a big artice in the most popular paper here that explained all his tricks, including those he did on the show. And guess who they interviewed to explain it all. That's right, Mr. Randi! ;)

By the way, Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees is going to be a guest next week on the show. I saw an interview with him where he says that he believes Geller is real, so it only goes to show that also intelligent people can fall for that stuff.

I think he was taking it from behind his ear, he did a strange move with his hand around that area a few seconds before he puts on the thumb.

In this clip, Uri 'The Spoon' Geller, pulls a young lad up onto the stage to bend a spoon. Geller already has a spoon in his hand, and when the young lad comes up carrying his own, Geller snatches it out of the kid's hands and throws it down on the ground. Unbelievable.

Well in that case I think the distraction worked out pretty well, because I only noticed the thumb thing the second time I watched the video. He should start bringing that girl to all his shows. :p

Sorry, not that I know of. Is there some program that can capture streaming videos? I could put it on youtube or something if it's possible.
