I noticed a group of Gellar videos on youtube, all supportive, including video of the faked tests at SRI. Curious, I glanced at the poster's identity. I could only laugh as I found that all had been posted by a person familiar to all who follow Randi's research:

shipishtrang

For a glance at the idiocy, just do a search for shipishtrang at YouTube.

By the way, does anyone know why 11:11 or 1111 is referenced as a keyword on the videos? Am I missing something?

Yep, I can tell you exactly why.

Uri Geller is nothing if not clever - in a cunning, s##t-house rat kind of way. 11:11 is a unique time. Most digital clocks aren't 24-hour, so 22:22 doesn't often show on digital clocks and so 11:11 appears twice daily and as the only repeating number on a 12-hour digital display, it's noticeable. Prior to digital watches, the time of 11:11 was never even mentioned. It would have been referred to as "11 past 11" if it was. Geller knows that everybody has noticed the number on a digital display and that him mentioning it will ping off in the minds of the more gullible. For christ's sake don't tell anyone, but we even had an All Blacks coach and selector who was so into numerology he consulted one for employment purposes! (All Blacks coach, for the uninitiated is slightly more important in the world than Brazil's soccer coach and a lot more important than President of USA.)

Mark Twain explains beautifully how the more bizarre a theory is, the more likely it is to gain proponents. Geller must have read a lot of Twain.

I just had another thought - Uri Geller's going to come in his pants at 11 seconds past 11:11 on the eleventh of November 2011 for sure!
