I just read "The Faith Healers" and I was wondering if Randi has done any updates on the "healers" he took down in that 1989 book? Or if he even cares at this point? Are there any good archived threads about "The Faith Healers"?
Popoff, it seems, is still at it. His website gave me feelings of déja vu. On his "Donations" page we read:
Gee, where have I heard this before?
I see that W.V. Grant, after going to prison for tax fraud, is still up to his same old tricks. And I mean exactly the same old tricks. In that article a local news station completely exposed him, once again.
I suppose Oral Roberts is too old now and discredited to bother about, but I did read where he and his son Richard are saying, once again, that Jesus is coming back soon.
I really got a kick out the book. Randi and his collaborators went all out to nail these guys! It was very amusing to read about Randi creeping down hallways like James Bond, or skeptics dressing up like old ladies to bust these charlatans. I guess the late 80s were sort of a "wild west" heyday for skeptics.
I notice that Randi doesn't deal much with big-time "faith healers" anymore. I suppose he exposed the whole scheme so well in that book, and on video, that he can't be bothered to continue lopping off hydra heads forever?

Praise God! We thank you for your financial support of this ministry. Every Seed that you sow is used to fulfill our mission of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus to the world. Your giving will bring forth fruit.
"Move in faith and see God multiply your seed sown." (Luke 6:38)
Pray over your seed and expect an abundant harvest. Know that your seed is being sown into good ground and will be used to bring the Word with simplicity and power to the whole world. God bless you for being obedient!
