Just a quick update. After a U.S. District court ruled in my favor in 2006 following a lawsuit which I brought at the state level in 2005, in April 2007 the federal court awarded me close to $40,000 against "psychic detective" Noreen Renier.
However she thereafter declared her second bankruptcy within 10 years in August 2007. As her largest creditor (with my sum due as reported to the Bankruptcy Court Trustee now standing with related legal costs and interest near $58,000), and apparently the only creditor continuing collective action, I have told the Trustee to extend the collection process.
Renier's revised book 'A Mind For Murder' is a key asset, along with its movie rights. Several thousand dollars in royalties has now been collected by the Bankruptcy Trustee for me, but I would prefer that funds from book sales continue to be collected through at least early next year before the collection/bankruptcy process is closed. At that point the difference due and what has been collected will still be large enough that it is likely I will be awarded both movie and book rights to 'A Mind For Murder' as this remains her principal "carry-over" asset on record and was an asset recognized previous to her bankruptcy.
The sales of the slightly revised 2008 edition of "A Mind For Murder' appear to be far fewer than the original 42,000 copies or so of the 2005 edition, but Barnes & Nobles and other stores have stocked the book nationally.
I would be interested if anyone still finds it locally stocked in retailers, as it appears most sales are now on-line.
The www.amindformurder.com website continues to have updates regarding Renier's claims and new witnesses coming forward that dispute some of those claims.
