Note this isn't "will there be any"...only a fool thinks there won't...but how bad. If there's one thing you can count on like the sun rising in the East, it's that there will be riots after this presidential election. Both "sides" have proved not only are they not above it, they're becoming increasingly addicted to it, looking for any excuse to pitch a fit like the spoiled brat losers they are...and a president they hate (i.e. one from the other side) is a whopper.

So what do you think? Will it eclipse 2020's nut farm of a year? Or will it be more of an isolated incident like the equally repulsive 6 Jan crapfest?

The old Chinese curse goes "may you live interesting times"......well hang on to your hat because here comes "interesting."
 
You will be fine as long as you are a White Male waving a US flag.

You will be beaten and arrested if you are not and/or are holding an LGBTQ+ or Palestinian flag.
 
I expect the states with loyal governors will flood DC with their National Guards. I don't expect the Dems to riot except in a few places away from DC. The enemy will if/when Trump loses. Hopefully the response by loyal forces to an attack on our Capitol will be far more violent than in 2021.
 
Not in Portland. If Trump wins, there will be vandalism, arson, and looting in downtown Portland, and not a MAGA in sight. Lots of keffiyehs and Palestinian flags, though.

That's just kind of... Portland though, isn't it?

Nationally, no rioting this time around, no matter who wins, im betting. Maybe some grumbling here and there but no J6 this time around, and the Biden supporters don't riot anyway (no, the George Floyd/BLM protests weren't related to the Presidency, but to cops killing black people).

Really? My exception would be not just Portland, but major riots in most larger US cities if Trump wins, referred to by the media as "protests". Very little rioting if Trump loses.

Why would you think that? You saw what their kind did last time. The scum attacked our Congress.
 
It depends upon whether Trump is immediately jailed for a violation of probation. If not, the constant claims of the election being rigged will bring about something we REALLY don't want to see. I'd keep that bail revocation card handy, if I were a participating judge. Surely he'll say something stupid enough that they can use it. You might think that jailing him would make it worse... but no. We're much better off if he's forcibly gagged. It's his mouth that causes trouble... nobody actually cares about him on a personal level.

On the other hand, if Trump wins? Well, anything I have to say about that would be a credible threat, so I won't address it. It's not that I would necessarily do anything right away... but I'd be ready to. Literal traitors to the constitution don't make good presidents, and my oath didn't have an expiration date. Still, it'd depend upon what he does with it. If he just acts like a blundering idiot for four years, like he did the last time, and isn't competent enough to actually do anything sinister? He's probably safe enough, in that case. I'll wait until he crosses my red line in the sand, and he probably won't be capable of going quite that far. I have no clue what anyone else will do.

I'd be willing to bet on it, if we could define major riots and how many. I mean, nary a peep when Sec Clinton lost, and Trump groupies already have a track record for not accepting losses gracefully, although I'm pretty confident they wouldn't try their hand at another insurrection.

No use asking Trumpf-thumpers that question. They don't think or express anything that requires a reason. They blow their noses on reason.

Similarly, it's futile to challenge them with "You saw what happened." They didn't see what transpired in the plain sight of others, and they will not see what is recorded in any medium. Their readiness -- hell, their eagerness -- to defy reality is their super power.

Don't discount it. Seriously.
 
Trump supporters will riot even if he wins and it will be very bad.
 
Trump used to say the election is rigged unless he wins.

Now he says it's rigged unless he wins in a landslide.
So yeah, protests of people with guns and a lot of anger are inevitable.

In 2020 trump claimed he only 'lost' to Biden because the election was rigged. The magamutts bought it and they were outraged. Doubtless if trump loses this time around he'll make the same claim. He lost due to vote fraud and the rigging of the election.

But if the magamutts were outraged and angry about trump losing to Biden -- Biden not only being a man but a white man -- what's going to happen if trump loses to Kamala Harris, not only a woman but a woman of color?

They are already setting the stage with the idea that Biden dropping out signals the end of democracy. Setting the state to say that because there (essentially) no primaries, Harris will never be legitimate.

I think they are going to say that any win by Harris in November is meaningless because she was never truly the Democratic candidate because no primaries.

Also birtherism 2.0 and any other number of inane conspiracy theories.
