Now, the footage is rubbish, as usual, and there's the standard "I used to be a skeptic, but..."

However, what I liked best about this report was the excerpt from the letter that is read. The fact they introduce it as somehow evidence of common alien activity in Merseyside is an even more delicious irony.

I like how people say "I used to be a skeptic..."

No. You were never a skeptic. When a skeptic is convinced something is true because of evidence, they remain a skeptic. They are just a skeptic who is convinced of the truth of a certain theory because of the preponderance of evidence.

yeah... he used to be a skeptic, but now he's a believer because he didn't just see one... he saw seven!!! Makes all the difference.
:D

So this guy was in the park at 2220hrs and he went to investigate something suspicious in the bushes. Any Merseyside forumites out there who can shed light on this strange activity..

I really want to read the rest of that letter. Who killed Algar and what of his wife and kids?

Yes I use to be a skeptic but I saw 7 count em 7 lights in the sky so now I believe they were ET's! Okay now I believe the concept of other life out there is very likely given were here. But I am not going to go ape **** because I just saw 7 lights in the sky that I couldn't explain. This is just like that damn ghost thing all they ever get is blurry and unreconizable.

Well there is one positve - the guy who wrote the X files theme, got another chunck of royalties :)

Yea well Knotty Ash, I bet that Ken Dodd and the wee diddymen had something to do with it all.

They seem to think it's like saying "I used to be a virgin, but..."

I have hunted about the web and can't find anythign at all about Algar and his encounters with the earthman in 1956.

I notice on the letter, however, that the man says the encounters started in Glasgow, although this letter was supposedly proof of activity in Merseyside.

King of the Americas - I've asked once nicely - were any of these things you saw related to this report from Liverpool? If not, please take it to another thread.

Should we start a fundraiser to help Algar's widow pay for the funeral costs?

King of the Americas - thank you for considering that you could be wrong. That is very big of you.
