'UFO' Spotted Near Fort Wayne

CNN claims to have experts debating it right now, but I don't have access to their streaming video.

I really can't see what the big deal is about this video. For some reason, people say it is moving at a high rate of speed. Looking at the clip, it looks like it is moving but not that great of speed and definitely not at a Meteor-like speed. It really does not even take on the characteristics of space debris re-entering the atmosphere.

From what I can see, the object appears to be a jet contrail seen from a great distance. The aircraft can not be seen. I have seen many contrails of similar nature over the years in the west around sunset and in the east around sunrise. This seems like the most likely explanation.

Seems there might be a simple solution.
The object was spotted on the same day, Oct 10th.

However, I am not so sure. A reentry most likely would have been going from west to east. The story states it was in the north-northwest (although no direction of travel is given) when photographed and appears to be traveling towards the north-northeast. This might fit the reentry profile but I am still inclined towards the contrail theory.

We've certainly seen aircraft and contrails presented as UFOs before. There was case like that which made the international news a year or two back. It was from somewhere in south-east Asia, I forget which country, and it was quite plainly an aircraft and its contrails seen at sunset (or sunrise).
