What was that old joke about trying to get several dead horses together to try and pull something?

To the average person who reads the astrology column in the daily newspaper, the statement that those “fun predictions” have some serious relationship to their health would probably be startling, if not ludicrous. To serious practitioners of the medical arts, such a statement borders on heresy! Nevertheless, a serious study on the foundations of medical practice would demonstrate that medicine developed from astrology. Astrology begat medicine (as well as most of the other modern sciences, either directly or indirectly) and in turn, medicine begat nutrition. Each of these sciences is concerned with maintaining good health, which is the principal concern of this book.

I am not a vet, but I also know a lot about dead horses. They stink and its not a wise idea to stop the smell by dumping gasoline and setting them on fire...

Someone is making money on it. And I am not... Damn ethics.

Anedoctal evidence that accupuncture does not work-> a friend of mine hurt hi feet badly. Could barely walk and suffered a lot of pain. Went to the acupuncturist, got a few stings. " He! Look, I´m walking, it no longer hurts!". Three days later he went to an hospital for a quick surgery. Now, a week later, he is walking and feels no pain.

Wow, this is rapidly attaining fame. You're the second person to point me at that post in about ten minutes.

However, I think my other informant (yes, Lost Boy, this is you....) has actually put his finger on the absolute ultimate (assuming one is allowed to nominate pretty much the entire web site). The Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre. The list on the left reads: "Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Herbs, Aromatherapy, Tissue Salts, Bach Flowers, Laser, Magnet Therapy, Chiropractic, Nutrition, Crystals, Ultra-sound, Positive Health, Holistic Medicine." All this from one single vet. OK, Lost Boy, I won't go into details of exactly which university produced this particular fruitcake, no need to intrude on private grief.

That alternative vet site was so funny I almost had a little accident. To quote copyrighted material from that site:
