On 9/23/10 we had a close encounter of the third kind here in the old pueblo. A large triangular shaped craft was seen and reportedly interfered with traffic lights and satellite dishes! Here is the local press coverage.

I am 30 year resident of tucson and I am very used to planes and helicopters of all types I have never once seen military flares dropped over the city. Is this writer trying to claim that a resident of Tucson could not make a mistake regarding ariel objects?

A close encounter of the 3rd kind means that somebody actually saw an alien, not just a ship. This would, if true, be a close encounter of the 2nd kind.
 
I live here in the Old Pueblo also, and I didn't even hear about this. Then again, having an Air Force base pretty much makes me ignore a lot of things going on in the sky. I usually just assume that if something is out of the ordinary, then it is probably a military exercise.

Very often it's because their movements are anomalous as compared to standard aircraft. It's kind of like somebody running in a crowd of people walking normally, they really stand out and catch your eye.
 
Its a conventionalaircraft with blinking wing lights. It moves just like a conventional aircraft. What is all the fuss about?

Does the writer maybe talk about the video of that row of a dozen or so UFO's that were determined to be flares dropped by a military plane?

That was outside of phoenix and were mistaken for UFO's. So the writer's claim that people here are to accustom to man made aircraft to be easily confused is a bunch of B.S. in my opinion.

The video is clearly a conventional aircraft but once again the media throws up its hands and says, "we may never know!"

Of course that video may not show the same object that other people saw that night.
 
What is it with all these alleged alien spacecraft flying over population centers with all the blinking lights? Wouldn't it make more sense if they employed some kind of cloaking device to remain invisible?
 
Luckily, the aliens employ the same strobe-light saftey system that our aircraft do. They're even kind enough to do it in red and blue.

What are the odds that it's coincidence? I rather think they adopted our warning lights system as to not be noticed when flying along major air routes.

The reason we use those lights is because it is reversed engineered alien technology.
