Tucker Carlson's top writer resigns after secretly posting racist and sexist remarks in online forum

The top writer for Fox News host Tucker Carlson has for years been using a pseudonym to post bigoted remarks on an online forum that is a hotbed for racist, sexist, and other offensive content, CNN Business learned this week.

Just this week, the writer, Blake Neff, responded to a thread started by another user in 2018 with the subject line, "Would u let a JET BLACK congo ****** do lasik eye surgery on u for 50% off?" Neff wrote, "I wouldn't get LASIK from an Asian for free, so no." (The subject line was not censored on the forum.) On June 5, Neff wrote, "Black doods staying inside playing Call of Duty is probably one of the biggest factors keeping crime down." On June 24, Neff commented, "Honestly given how tired black people always claim to be, maybe the real crisis is their lack of sleep." On June 26, Neff wrote that the only people who care about changing the name of the NFL's Washington Redskins are "white libs and their university-'educated' pets."

And over the course of five years, Neff has maintained a lengthy thread in which he has derided a woman and posted information about her dating life that has invited other users to mock her and invade her privacy. There has at times also been overlap between some material he posted or saw on the forum and Carlson's show.

Gee, I certainly hope this won't adversely affect the quality of Tucker's show!

Is anybody surprised Tucker Carlson's top writer would be a vicious neanderthal? Reading between the lines, that's what Tucker Carlson and the rest of the knuckle draggers at Fox News, that's really what they're all about, isn't it?

Meantime, Carlson continues to do his masterful job of misleading his viewers dependent on whatever way the (right wing) political winds are blowing. Business Insider reports:
Fox News host Tucker Carlson has claimed, contrary to multiple scientific studies, that there is no scientific evidence to support wearing masks to slow the spread of the coronavirus. In the Tuesday night edition of his show, Carlson called for schools to reopen despite the increasing rate of coronavirus infections in the US. Business Insider
Of course, back in March Carlson said something different:
On March 30, Carlson said: "Of course, masks work. Everyone knows that. Dozens of research papers have proved it. In South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, the rest of Asia — where coronavirus has been kept under control — masks were key." Carlson's change of position came as President Donald Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he would pressure governors to reopen schools...

How would Carlson explain how he got from "Of course, masks work," to " there is no scientific evidence to support wearing masks to slow the spread of the coronavirus?" As is demonstrated over and over by certain posters right here in this forum, we know Carlson won't discuss his 'change of heart.' In order to address it he would have to display candor and honesty, two traits Mr. Carlson (and the posters) obviously lack.

Tucker Carlson has always seemed like a strange one to me. That strange look he gets. The boy ain't right! ;)

How anyone can watch Carlson and take him seriously as anything but Trump sycophant is a mystery. Oh...no, it's not: they're stupid.

Tucker Carlson is a rich boy in a rich boy's shoes. His life experience is absolutely unrelatable to that of virtually all of his viewers, though they are oblivious to that fact. They might wish to be him, but they cannot because they have not inherited a fortune; he has never had to pull himself up by his own bootstraps because he has people to do that for him. He has however managed to pull the wool over the eyes of a significant number of the credulous.

ETA: Actually, his stepmom, Patricia Caroline Swanson, is the heiress to the Swanson Frozen Foods fortune. But the privilege still stands.

No wonder he loves Trump so much. He identifies with him.

He looks like a sweatier version of the Nazi guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I bet he looks quite dashing in his Nazi uniform during those secret meetings in his basement. One thing you have go admit, those German uniforms had it all over American uniforms.

When he's not wearing that Nazi uniform, he's probably wearing his other Nazi uniform.

Did anyone watch his show today? Did he refer to the firing? (I doubt he would, but it's possible he might claim "I am not racist because I fired him").
