I've been watching the Hurricane Dennise through online Satelite images however all of them are in black and white or other none colored images. None of them are in Natural Color. As in what you and I would see were we in a space ship orbiting earth.

Can anyone post some websites that have satelite images in true color? ARE there any satelites that produce updated images in true color? If no,Why not?

I seemed to have posted this in the wrong area. I ment to post it in the science technology area. Could someone please move it?

Only some of the passive systems, like photographic cameras on satellites, produce true colour images. Infrared (passive) or many other means of image creation, such as radar, laser etc. (they are called active, because they emit radiation) produce no colour images because they measure one kind of radiation which results in a black and white image. Post image processing adds false colour so that the result looks more "acceptable" to the public, like for a weather forecast where the land is green, the sea is blue and the clouds are white. However, the original radar satellite image regarding the amount of rain (size of water drops in atmosphere) did not contain any true colour information.
