I used to like the man and if he had any honor he would withdraw.
My objection isn't too his making money...that is the way of the world...my objection is that particularilly non-partisan Washington disease that affects former elected officials and makes them believe that the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to them.
He took a car and didn't realize it was a gift? This, after years of Senate service where gift disclosure of items over $25 is mandatory if not forbidden? Seriously, did he just think the car appeared magically and that no-one would ever ask?
Why do these smart people get so stupid once they leave office?
