Why would you think that, as compared to the first time anybody got a laceration that needed stitches, or stubbed a toe?

I may be "messed up in the head", but it wasn't the 8-10 ER visits that did it. And I've never been shot.
 
Schools seem to get shot up by local whackos. Businesses by imports.
 
So lets see how this thread plays out

Anti gun lobby:
- up in arms (no pun intended)
- ban guns!
- more background checks

Pro gun lobby:
- guns don't kill people, people kill people
- swimming pools/cars kill more people than guns
- muh gun rights are inviolate

Much arguing, finger pointing, wailing and gnashing of teeth ensues


Have I missed anything?
 
He shot his dad. He is reported as being 14. So why the subsequent move to shoot up an elementary school after shooting his father?

Was this an attempt to copy cat Sandy Hook? He's old enough to have been exposed to the media frenzy attending that horror.

Yes. We will unfortunately be subjected to the usual idiotic drive-bys such as: "thanks obama!", "if only the school was armed", "another typical day in the USA", and minor variations of them.
