Thursday dinner and debauchery at Harvard?

ohhh cool! But PM or email me what you decide!

hopefully the weather will improve!

Some dinner suggestions for the immediate Cambridge area:

a)John Harvard's
b)Uno's
c)A great Indian place called something-or-other...
d)Pinnochio's- A fantastic but extremely low key (read: trashy) pizza place with the best Sicilian pepperoni this planet has to offer
e)Finale- a classy place that serves only dessert

Just my two cents.

I like the John Harvard thingy-- seems topical.

Can the under 21 crowd get in? We need to think of the children!

If so, how's about a 6:00 dinner for anyone around Thursday night???

B

John Harvard's is a restaurant, and we've never had a problem getting those under 21 in. It's the place I recommended in one of the other 15 threads on this conference.

I have plans for Thursday night, but I should see everyone Saturday, or Friday if anything is going on.

I think anyone can get in -- I don't recall them carding anyone at the door when I was last there with a young-looking skeptic. I should be able to be at John Harvard's at 6 Thursday, barring traffic problems.

DV you gotta make it in time...cause I have to show you where it is. Is 6:30 going to be a safer time?

Just checking cause I don't know what's going on with Myspace. Also reservations might be nice.

You can do a burger or do a steak there, so it's not too pricey. The food is good and they seem to make their money on the drinks.

There'll be some myspace heathens there too, so we may need reservations?

I don't mind pushing it back, except there's an informal reception for people arriving thursday. I believe it's at 7:00.

would anyone having problems making it at 6:00?

If anyone wants to go out for a drink after the reception, that's cool too!

People will arrive late and leave early for these events. You can't meet everyone's schedule. I say have it at 6:00 knowing some people might get there late, and knowing some people might leave for the 7:00 reception.

sounds good, we'll go for 6:00. I have to stay around to let DV in to the apartment, so we'll get there when we do (cause we'd have to add in about 20 minutes walking time too!!)

We could probably take a cab (again!). I may challenge him and Kitten to WALK on Saturday morning. Probably not!

No way... does that mean I regularly walk 2.5 miles, then? Cause I walk that far (and back, many days) almost every day.

well I can get free parking Kitten! I wonder if it's safe enough to drive early in the morning?

We need someplace to eat on FRIDAY. Says we are on our own for dinner.

So that would be a good get together time also.

If I leave at around 4:50 and get on the bus at five I can make it in 73 minutes according to the Boston transit site.
Damn.

Really? I don't think it will take you that long to reach Harvard Square... remember that my apartment is a good 20 minutes from Harvard Square. I say you bring your suitcase to the restaurant (which is a one minute walk from the Harvard T-stop) and meet Mom there.

Of course, a taxi cab will get you there in twenty minutes but will set you back at least $30.

Ah, okay, directly to the restaurant then. Now, where is the restaurant? I already have the bus route to Harvard Square though.

It's on Dunster Street, which is immediately adjacent to Harvard Square. (You'd walk down Dunster Street moving south, away from the yard, for about a block).

I just looked it up: 33 Dunster Street is the exact address.

This is for Friday night, right?

It's up to you DV. But if you want we can just skip dinner! SEriously, Kitten and I can get chinese or something from her neighborhood.

Mind you, you are young, so I guess you can fly cross country and then go right out to eat!

Let me know! Either way is fine, but don't feel you have to rush out. I'm fine just letting you in to the place so you can relax!

Kitten will have a key for you when you get there, so you can do whatever you want.
