This is a thread for Russell Pickering to come over and discuss his ideas (I sent him an e-mail).

I'd STRONGLY request that everyone be on their best behaviour and debate Russell on the facts and his posts only. I'd STRONGLY request the mods keep a close eye on this thread and intervene if any misguided JREF'ers start to insult Russell or use unworthy tactics.

We want a proper debate, and I think Russell is the man to give us that debate. Treat him with the proper respect.

I hope he'll come along here - he'd be welcomed. One of the few - or perhaps only - intellectually honest people at LC.

I'm hoping he comes over as well. He's the only researcher in the movement that I don't want to strangle.

C'mon Russ, we won't bite! (well, maybe Dogtown will :))
 
I for one would love to see it and hereby promise not to jump in and try to ridicule or disrespect Russell if he comes here.

Considering the pleasure LC admins & mods get out of banning JREFers "on sight" and how JDX has linked him with JREF (inviting them to LC, adopting JREF "debating" techniques, etc. I suspect Russell is correctly concerned that should he post here he will be immediately banned at LC.
 
By the way, I was reading through one of the LC Forum threads between JDX and Russell, yesterday I think, and as I was reading page 2, I saw that JDX's name showed up in a clickable blue color, indicating that he's a mod, but when I clicked to view page 3, his name was in black.

So between the time when I loaded page 2 and page 3, he was stripped of his moderator status. I wonder what happened?

I just checked. It's true.

Maybe he didn't agree with himself?
