Very good! I wasn't aware of this strip.
Some years ago, one of the big newsmagazine shows did a segment on "the power of prayer". Handled typically with anecdotal evidence and an entire sentence from a skeptic..
The highlight was a fellow who had been diagnosed with one of those nearly-always-fatal conditions. After his family and parish went into heavy-duty overtime praying mode for him, he went into remission. The conclusion, of course, was that they could come to no other conclusion that he'd been saved by prayer.
Of course, the mere fact that this particular condition was nearly-always-fatal, even though the families, friends, and congregations of most of the deceased had prayed similarly for them, said something...
