Perhaps 1inChrist won't be back after his Lucianarchy-esqe inverse prediction.

So I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we could all make a short declaration about what we would miss most about 1inChrist just in case he never posted here again.

I'll go first.

Rock strata. Fossils. Dinosaurs. Humans.

I miss that discussion.
 
I hope you are wrong and that he does come back.

If he was sincere, I imagine he is very upset now. Remember, he said he'd assume he was crazy if his prediction didn't come true.

I'm concerned about him.
 
I'm concerned as well. His posts of the last few days have been increasingly strident (not to mention colorful). He seems like he's losing his marbles and his wrong prediction could push him over the edge.
 
Agreed.

He doesn't respond to me anymore so I have no sense of how he is.

He hardly responds to me anymore either, unless I go out of my way to push his buttons.

I predict that he will bounce back and he will be just as disconnected from reality. He will have an excuse for the failure that will sound like insanity, but will make total sense to him internally. He will carry on knowing he is right, nary skipping a beat.
 
Even as a lurker I'd been looking forward to today, wondering what 1inC's reaction would be. Then I realized that he's probably going too be too embarrassed to post his reaction (which is a reaction in itself, though not as satisfying).

Bummer. I was looking forward to some good ol' Schadenfreude.
 
Would it be good if we had more users like him around? More testable claims, more possibilities to make these people get their head straight..

I wish EarthSister had gone this far, too ;)

New rule: Since 1inC is no longer around(?), the newest poster has to play his role for at least one week. Jes' for fun.

To make it really Lucianarchy style though should I publish what I suspect is 1inC's ip?

You have to admit, 1inC adds some colour to these forums.
It's already the 30th here in Asia, but as 1inC didn't specify and it's still Friday night in the Western USA, I guess we can be patient and wait a few more hours... ;)
I don't think he'll leave when proven wrong, though. Remember Paul Bethke and his claims that he would blind Randi? When that didn't work, in sympathy, I went out and got blind drunk instead... :p :D
 
I won't miss him at all, though I was looking forward to see what he had to say after his failed prediction. He could at least have the common decency to admit he is crazy. :D
 
I now think 1 in Christ was looking for a reason to leave.

When I was discussing the terms of our bet, I at first wanted him to simply admit that he was crazy. He was the one that said "If it fails I'll leave the message board". That wasn't the condition I was looking for, but I ended up agreeing on it since he rejected or ignored everything else.

He at one point even tried to back out of the deal.
He said he didn't think God wanted me to bet money on it.
I found a loophole and the bet proceeded

Well I was borred one day and I tried to find 1inC, but I only found some woman in texas that used that nickname.

Does anyone else remember the 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon, "Inch-High Private Eye"...? Somehow, it seems appropriate... :p :D
