The ongoing troofer campaign against JREF!

There have been a lot of threads opened up recently by troothers. This forum is degenerating and the only way to cut down on the useless posting is to stop feeding the trolls.

It's hard not to reply and I am guilty as charged for falling for the bait but I like JREF and don't want to see it hijacked so I will not reply to trolls anymore.

Just Ignore Them, please. When ignored long enough children go away.

It seems to me that you are using the term "troothers" and "trolls" as if they are synonamous. There are actually 9/11 family members that fully support the Truth Movement. Surely you are not saying these people who just want answers to their many questions about their lost loved ones are "trolls".

- stupid threads or threads to bait / ridicule created by non-CTists
- threads started by CTists that actually generate interesting discussion
- ways to respond to OPs that are worse / more in breach of the MA than the OP itself.

This is a free and open forum to every viewpoint, and we don't advocate censorship. You can't dictate who should and shouldn't use the forum.

Off-topic for this thread? Guilty as charged, and apologetic.

Member bashing? Not so much - I was merely pointing out the fact that Mr. Cheney has said before on other threads that, when asked, he does not necessarily believe 9-11 was an inside job while stating implicitly that it was, so I was reminding him of this in response to his off-topic derail posted above in this thread.

I happen to be a member of the Truth Movement and I am interested in knowing exactly what happened. If the cts are all untrue I want to know because they are harmful to the people who are being falsely accused and if they are true I want to know so that I can spread the word in hopes of legally resolving the matter. Does this make me a troll in your opinion?

This forum has degenerated not because of trolling or our response to it, but because the wheels have come off the Trooth Movement such that the only people left are the racist xenophobes, the bat-guano insane, and the clueless juveniles. Anyone with a shred of sense has already quietly left it.

I just pop in here for a chuckle, I no longer take the subject seriously anymore.

I didn't use the word "ALL". I'll refer you back to the first sentence of the OP. My point was that not only CTists make stupid threads, or aggressive threads. Well, that was one of my points. I tried to make a few.

The conspiracy theories ARE all untrue. Every one, and I mean EVERY one, has been debunked thoroughly and completely.

Does this mean we know everything that happened during the run-up to 9/11, or on the day itself? No, we don't, and we likely never will. However, the information we do have leads inescapably to the conclusion that 9/11 was pulled off by a motivated group of jihadists (Al Qaeda). The jihadists took advantage of US complacency, security loopholes, and a fair amount of luck to carry out their plan.

There is simply no evidence to the contrary that stands up to any scrutiny at all. And before you start spouting "what about this?" and "what about that?", use the search function. You'll find that whatever point you were about to make has already been debunked.

I just wish there were some INTELLIGENT truther posts; Things that raise questions we have not answered and which would make us do real research. As it is we have to mine previous answers for the response to the truthers, and that gets tedious and boring.

Come on guys! Show me one unexploded detonator in a photo of rubble. Show me one aircraft part at the Pentagon not from a Boeing jet? Show me one photo of a missile streaking towards 93? Is that a LOT to ask?

Sadly, no amount of answers will ever give them peace. These people, devastated by the loss of their loved ones in such an extraordinary event want a reason for why they died and someone to blame. With the hateful, delusional nihilism of the Jihadist mindset being practially incomprehensible to well adjusted people, and with bin Laden still on the loose, it is easier for some to turn inwards and find an enemy closer to home to lay the blame on. Hypothetically, Bush can be jailed and the Government taken to court. Bin Laden may die a free man. When family members of people lost on 9/11 join up with the troofers it's a sad attempt at a shortcut to closure, and their grief is being cynically exploited by a 'movement' made up largely of twisted and unhinged individuals who hate the Government and probably in many cases are psychologically unstable, or, at the very least, filled with self-loathing at their insignificant existence.
