Something I have noticed lately on the boards, faceboook, real life, and on youtube is a new little dance our truther friends are doing about peer review. It was under a year ago that the "Peer Reviewed" article by Jones and Harrit came out that truthers began to believe that their joo joo had been validated in the actual scientific community and were happily parading around that badge. However, since it has become glaringly apparent that the whole process was a sham i have encountered yet more dancing and special pleading on the part of the TM. There seems the continued claim of peer review in Jones and Harrit, yet when it's faults are pointed out and the counter (legitimate) research is referenced, the whole process then becomes accused of claims of bias, false readings, and of course government manipulation.

That's it, just like puting light on the neverending little bait n switch show of twoof.

It all sounds like the Creationists dislike of peer review to me.

It's near identical. They'll happily parade around polonium halos, but as soon as you show how it was discredited, the whole process is then unreliable. Same song, same dance, different lyics.

Oh but if you point out to truther's that they are behaving exactly like Creationists they'll go nuts and tell you how Creationism has nothing to do with it. They just refuse to apply the same logic to themselves.
