The 'Homosexual Agenda'

i see this term quite a bit in forums, particularly coming from the mouths/keyboards of ultra right wings christians.
personally, i find it paranoid and ludicrous.
having grown up as a queer man, and knowing the injustices that have been inflicted on my queer brothers and lesbian sisters,
i likely have a different perspective than some.
does the fact that we can no longer be fired, or evicted, or imprisoned for being queer come as a result of an 'agenda',
or as a result of a more humane development in human rights?
 
Agenda seems to be a buzzword with fanatics, something they disagree with automatically becomes an insidious agenda. The higher tolerance comes as a result of the developments in human rights as well as increased awareness. I guess technically raising awareness could be considered an agenda, but certainly not with the negative connotations the fanatics impose on it.
 
I think for most homosexuals, their agenda is for the rest of society to just leave them the **** alone.
 
There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?"...

We will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream."

King, obviously. This was likely a response to those who talked about 'The Black Agenda'.

I'd like to know what God's agenda is, since he keeps making more and more homosexuals every day.
 
Projection: My agenda is to suppress homosexuality or ban it if I could, therefore they must have an agenda to push it on everyone, and turn all kids gay. Any moves towards equality is one step closer to a gay dystopia.
 
For the gays to have an agenda, it would mean that someone would have to be organising them.

I mean, you thought it was difficult to herd cats!

The main reason I was looking forward to the conclusion of the 2008 election was that I was getting phone calls from politicians warning me about the "homosexual agenda" being pushed by certain opponents. I made me want to find out more about this so called agenda and vote for the candidates supporting it just as revenge for the stupid messages I was getting over the phone.

It was worse then the Senators telling me parts of my gun collection were illegal even though I owned them in accordance with state and federal law. What a bunch of dorks.

Buzzwords. Anti-gay people have values, gays have an agenda. Anti-gay people have a sexual orientation and love lives, gays lead gay lifestyles.
 
I agree that there is, indeed, a "homosexual agenda". Gay marriage is one part of this agenda, as is the right to adopt children, the inclusion of gay characters on every television show, and the homosexual-friendly education of children. None of this is in doubt by any thinking person.

The next goal on the agenda will be to push "experimentation" and bisexuality as far as it can go. The ultimate would be a return to ancient Greece and its culturally-based conversion of the common man to homosexual.

I have little doubt of this. It is in the homosexual's romantic interests to convert as much of the population as possible to something like a bi-curious state. Why, is obvious: think of the vast pool of inaccessible potential mates a homosexual is bombarded with every day--why wouldn't he want to convert everyone?

Total conversion will not be possible, but it is in the Gay Agenda to push those barriers with Queer Theory as far as they can go.

really?? so how is this 'agenda' arrived at?
do you envision a lot of fabulously dressed people, meeting in secret, planning the take over of the world?
where does one find out about these secret meetings?
is there a secret handshake?
