THE HOLY PEAR
It's not every day that you are walking around your local Somerfield and you are suddenly confronted with a genuine heavenly vision in the fruit + veg aisle. But today it happened to me. Now, I'm not really a religious person but as I rooted around in the pears and came across one that was imprinted with the CROSS of JESUS CHRIST I had to question my beliefs.
It's obvious that this can't just be a coincidence - I doubt someone dropped it on the floor in the warehouse and it just happened to imprint a christian cross into it.
I've had a quick look through the Bible and unfortunately I cannot find any verses relating to pears but if anyone with a better knowledge of the good book could help me out I would very much appreciate it. One of my religiously-minded friends has informed me, however, that many of the disciples were big pear-eaters and so it is quite possible that this very pear was served at The Last Supper!
Tragically my monetary needs outweigh my spiritual ones at the moment or I would definitely be hanging onto this gem myself!
The pear is in absolute pristine condition, it was only bought today and is being kept refrigerated and so will arrive in top quality condition. If, as my heart tells me, this is a genuine artifact then the pear will be blessed with immortal life and so shall be in perfect condition forever if it is well looked after.
