It’s the centennial of Einstein’s first publications of relativity, in which he showed that the concept of “the ether†was not just unnecessary, but wrong. Let's celebrate by having a look at all the things that cranks still “explain†by attributing them to the effects of “the etherâ€.
I hardly dare to look and see if anyone is still “explaining†anything in terms of phlogiston.
