Dont worry Abu - you still have your extradition to the US to look forward to. Then a short trip to Egypt for lights out!

Pretty isnt he?

Nice to see the photographer caught his good side!

I saw this title and I saw your name and somehow I just knew what this thread was going to be about! :)

For non-UK people this is the story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4690224.stm

...snip...

Controversial Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri has been jailed for seven years after he was found guilty of inciting murder and race hate.

...snip...

Funny how it took a bunch of British "infidels" to finally bring this well-known creep to justice!

That is one handsome devil! How could you convict a face like that?

BTW, I love this picture:

Do they not realize that protesting is a "freedom of expression"?

especially ironic as I suspect that some of the people supporting this protest, where also amongst those that invoked Hamza's "freedom of expression" to excuse his "incitement to commit murder" and "incitement to racial hatred" charges.

I suppose his lawyers should have known the "Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you: is this the face of a murderer?" defense was a non-starter.

These people are good examples of the arab version of white trash.

Terrorist weapons were seized in raid

http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/crime/article343846.ece

The headline is a little misleading. The "weapons" they found were pretty lame. They did, however, find evidence of serious criminal activity:

Police also found more than 100 stolen or forged passports and identity documents, laminating equipment, credit cards and chequebooks hidden under rugs and concealed above ceilings. One officer recalled pulling down part of a ceiling to find passports raining down on him.

That would depend on the type of "blank firing pistols" seized. Some of these are fairly easy to convert into relatively effective (close range)weapons, provided of course you don't mind risking a hand.

Now we know why he never became a suicide bomber. There's not one heavenly virgin who'd take him, let alone 72.
Scarily, there was a story about his British ex-wife in a newspaper today (either Metro or Evening Standard). They met in 1980 or so while they were both working in a London hotel. Apparently he was then handsome and romantic, and a bit of a womaniser. They had a child together.

As I am writing this, I less and less believe it myself. Maybe I was hallucinating.

Explain to me again why printing a picture of Muhammad is an offense against Islam, but printing this picture isn't an offense against all of humanity.

Even so it's not exactly a "terrorist arsenal." In my opinion the fake passports and the credit cards are much more interesting and indicative of their intentions.
