The Effects of Advanced Physics

The name answer comes to mind for some reason. Except he only thought he had studdied advanced physics.

Of course it's true! Riddick found it, and we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I'll bet he can even hook us up with the phone number of Cosmic Stan!

Hmm... are you saying that Cosmic Stan is a former president of the Nebraska chapter of American Atheists?

Riddick said:
Cosmic Stan

Too much of a good thing?
Perhaps a better title for this thread would be "The Effects of too little Education"...

Riddick, I think you would do well to investigate the sources of your information a little more closely rather than just believing the ones that tell you what you want to hear. Does this look like an actual news source to you?

Good ole Onion. Thanks for pointing it out, that one's funny.

Another excellent example of how we interpret highly technical words, even those used correctly, if with no real meaning behind them, as a sign of high intelligence.

Which makes me wonder, where do you suppose the world's most intelligent people are?

Hmm...

Riddick wouldn't know advanced physics if it bit him on the @$$. I have to wonder how this happended to him:
"Was he calculating the transition amplitudes between the unperturbed eigenstates due to the presence of the perturbation in order to determine transition probabilities in time-dependent quantum phenomena, and the next day, strapping a TV antenna to his head?"

The photo of that guy is just like a weirdo that hangs around my faculty. He claims to know a way to get rid of radiactive waste. He has a strange theory, which he has posted in several classrooms and goes around with a big poster on his back.

The "theory" is some nonsense about "gravons" and "lectrons". He says it's very easy to prove, but no one will help him because it would prove all the other physicists work false...
