The Danger of Millitant Christian Fundamentalism

I am not sure if this thread really belongs to the Religious or Political forum. I chose the religious forum. I will leave it up to the moderator if he/she feels it is more appopriate in the political forum.

Christian fundamentalism may be may be just a little intolerant and extremely ignorant at worst in the US in spite of it proliferation, but a part from the occasional murder of abortion practitioners it is not such a serious problem.....yet.

But an extremely millitant version is rearing its ugly head in in Sub Saharan Africa especially the The Lords Resistance Army in Uganda. Pentacostalist from the US may spread the dangerous doctrine to all of Sub Saharan African, and we will have a militant religious movement to rival militant Islam, as the conditions for it spread are just right with the AIDS pandemic. Uganda was one of the first sub Saharan countries to be hit by HIV and the first to be hit by MCF. It is just a matter of time before MCF spreads through the rest of Sub Sahara and South America like in Guatemala like the AIDS virus.

“It was a strange religion Kony adhered to. He prayed to the God of the Christians on Sundays reciting the Rosary and quoting the bible; but he also prayed on Fridays, like the Moslems. He celebrated Christmas, but he also fasted for 30 days during Ramathan and prohibited the consumption of pork” at p.73 ABOKE GIRLS by Els De Temmerman.

The apparent belief in two different religions is to serve two purposes. They claim to believe in Christianity in order to gain acceptability in the conservative dedicated rural Christian community in which they operate. They also claim to believe Islam in order to maintain acceptability and funding from the Moslem world and terrorist organizations with a Moslem background

Doesn't sound very Pentecostal to me! These loons have been around since the '80s at least, and are still confined to an obscure corner of Uganda where they subsist in the bush while being hunted down by every uniformed agency in the country. This isn't a particularly auspicious beginning for an organisation that will "spreads through the rest of Sub Sahara and South America like in Guatemala like the AIDS virus". Don't worry about them, there are far more worrying people in Africa than the LRA.

I like it better than the Society for Hitting Infidels with Toolboxes.
